Help Save Lady Bella: My Service Dog, My Angel, My Heart

Donation protected
My name is Nadia, and I’m reaching out in desperation and love to save the life of my sweet girl, Lady Bella, an 11-year-old Bichon Frise and certified emotional support service dog.

Just days ago, Bella was rushed into emergency surgery. Her gallbladder had ruptured, placing her in a state of sepsis—a deadly condition that left us with two heartbreaking options: operate immediately or say goodbye within 24 hours. For me, there was only one choice—I had to try to save my best friend.

Why Bella Means Everything

To many, she may just be a dog.
To me? She’s family, healer, protector, therapist, and joy wrapped in white curls.

Since the age of two, Bella has been a certified service animal, helping not just me, but many others who have struggled with emotional and mental health battles. Her warmth, patience, and empathy turned non-animal lovers into lifelong dog advocates. She’s been my constant in a world full of uncertainty, my silent supporter through moments of grief, anxiety, and loss.

Even on the day I knew something was wrong, Bella insisted on going outside to use the bathroom—still following her training despite unimaginable pain. That’s who she is: a gentle warrior and fighter.

What Happened

Bella’s emergency ultrasound revealed:
• An infarcted biliary mucocele with active bile peritonitis
• Moderate peritoneal effusion (fluid in her abdomen)
• Evidence of chronic kidney disease

Surgery was urgent and life-saving, but her road to recovery is far from over. Her ongoing treatment plan includes medications like Gabapentin, Cerenia, and Clavamox —not to mention round-the-clock monitoring and follow-ups with specialists.

Her care is now in the thousands, and I am doing everything I can to cover what I can. But I cannot do it alone.

What We’re Raising Funds For

The funds will help cover:
• Emergency surgery costs
• Hospitalization and ICU monitoring
• Follow-up specialist visits
• Long-term medications and nutritional care
• Quality-of-life essentials to support her recovery

Every dollar brings us one step closer to giving Bella the life she deserves.

My Dream for Her

She’s fought hard to stay with me—and I want to give her the life of her dreams in return. Park strolls. Pup cups. Beach days. Road trips. Endless cuddles. A retirement filled with peace, comfort, and love.

I know times are hard. But if Bella has ever made you smile—even just from her photos—please consider donating or sharing this campaign. Please feel free to contact me directly or reach out to our veterinary team to confirm Bella’s care plan, clinical summary, medication list or for further verification if needed.
