Help Save Lacy: A Single Mom's Plea

Meet Lacy. She is my son’s sweet, lovable calico. We got her on Mother’s Day after the Pandemic had started and my son began to feel the loneliness of not being around his friends. He said he wanted a kitty who would snuggle with him and let him pet her, as our adult male kitty, Theodore, is a grumpy old man. He found the perfect little cutie. Our precious Lacy loves to be loved and gives a lot of love in return. She has been a welcomed addition to our little family. I call her my shadow as she’s never far behind.

Last night, as I sat in my living room, I heard a strange sound and looked outside my front door to see her in the jaws of two coyotes. Panicking, I screamed and ran towards the attempted murderers and grabbed Lacy as they dropped her and ran off. Thankfully, my son was spending the night at a friend's house and a close friend was there to drive us to the emergency pet hospital.

I’m a single mother with two jobs. As much as I would like to say, I can afford to save her life, I can’t. I struggle with even two jobs to make ends meet. I cannot let this be the reason why I don’t try to save her. We’ve been through so many challenges over the past 4 years, and she has been a joy and comfort to both of us. I feel like we owe it to her to fight for her. Please help me save her.
