Help Save Kodi – My Bunny’s Life-Saving Surgery ❤️

Hi, my name is Chelsea, and I’m raising funds for my beloved bunny, Kodi, who urgently needs life-saving abdominal surgery.

Kodi became seriously ill with Gastrointestinal (GI) Stasis, a life-threatening condition where a rabbit’s digestive system slows or stops. He required emergency care and a stomach lavage (his stomach had to be flushed via a tube), which has already cost me $2,800.

He then had to have a CT scan (an extra $1,800) and the results came back, and it’s not simple—he has a large, unusual mass in his abdomen, possibly an omental torsion (a twisted fat structure), a benign or malignant fat-based tumor, or even an inflammatory/granuloma mass. It’s pressing on part of his digestive system and likely caused his recent bloat episode.

Since the GI episode, the mass has grown larger and is now pressing on parts of his digestive system. It’s causing blockages and painful bloating and puts him at constant risk of another stasis episode — or sudden death in days or weeks— if not removed. The only hope now is to go ahead with major exploratory surgery, which is expected to cost another $2,500 to $4,000.

Why This Means So Much:

I currently work part-time due to my challenges living with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and I am currently undergoing diagnosis for Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). These conditions impact every part of my daily life — emotionally, physically, and financially — and I attend 4–6 medical appointments a week just to keep going.

Kodi is not “just a pet.” He is my emotional support, my safe space, and my comfort on the hardest days. He is family. I can’t imagine losing him simply because I didn’t have enough money in time.
