Update: he’s basically got the Vet baffled. He’s back to acting like a puppy and we are actually having to restrain his activities a bit.

He has an infection as well so we will know more Monday about the date of the procedure.

Based off his numbers she has no idea how he’s doing so well in his condition, but she remains extremely optimistic about the outcome.

Kiwi has been our loyal companion and emotional support dog, moving with me from Colorado and joining us on countless adventures, from disc golfing to camping. He’s always been our guardian and our copilot, bringing joy and comfort through every challenge. He’s the first baby I’ve ever had since a puppy, and as the runt of his litter, Kiwi has faced the odds his whole life, but his spirit and affection have never wavered. When my partner and I got together, Kiwi adopted him immediately, and together we have built a life full of love and adventure with him.

Recently, Kiwi took a drastic turn in his health, and we discovered a large mass on his spleen. The vet has recommended immediate surgery, as his chances of survival without it are near zero. While we don’t yet know if the mass is cancerous, the urgency is clear—Kiwi is still so full of life and deserves the chance to keep adventuring by our side. The cost of the procedure is significant, and we are reaching out for any assistance possible to help cover the expenses.
