Hi,

My name is Ashley and I'm fundraising for Kitty's Catfe. Kitty's is a family owned cat café in Washington Court House, Ohio, named after my mother Kitty, who passed in August 2017. One half of our space is a boba & bubble tea cafe, while the other half is a cat lounge where adoptable cats from the Fayette County Regional Humane Society live until they are adopted. We created our business in December 2022, and were finally able to open mid-June, 2023. The sixth month preparation phase drained all of our traditional funding routes. Danny quit his job in June to work fulltime at the cafe, but we've been unable to generate regular income from it yet.

We're not ready to give up on this dream; we are only starting to build our community. We've had great feedback from those who have tried our products or visited our lounge. I don't want to increase prices because we believe in honest pricing. We're not trying to be millionaires, we're trying to earn a living, whilst bringing something unique to the community that everyone regardless of age, race, gender, sexuality, religion can enjoy, and a place where everyone feels comfortable to be themselves.

I feel guilty asking for help; I want to believe I know enough to figure this all out on my own, but the reality is I'm lost. We owe $8000 for plumbing (kitchen installation) and 4 week's payroll. Our staff is amazing and they deserve to be paid on time; I haven't had enough rolling capital to be able to pay everything and then get reimbursed by the sales, and with school starting, our sales are down. We know how to schedule now (we were way too heavy when we opened), we know how to order now, but we're struggling to get that rolling capital. Any bit you can contribute would be awesome, if you can't, please spread the word and send some people in to try boba or pet a cat :)
