Yesterday my coworker told me her mom had been hearing a kitten meowing under her house for the past three nights, so we went over there to try and coax it out of the water-filled crawl space. When that didn’t work, my sister climbed in there and found this sweet kitten stuck with his leg all tied up in a cloth/tape mess.

She ended up cutting him free and carrying him out, and we noticed his leg was disformed from being trapped for so long. Unfortunately, during his visit to the vet today, they informed us that his leg was infected and he needed antibiotics and an eventual amputation (when he’s a little bit older) OR he needs to be put down.

We really don’t want this peanut to be euthanized, but the vet estimated the cost of care to be ~$500 for visits/medications and ~$1000 for the amputation. Any donations would be greatly appreciated to help pay for his vet bills!
