Hello Dear Friends and Associates of Ken Schecher-Bowers.
I am Ken's spouse, Randy Schecher -Bowers, and we were married on December 30, 2022, just a week shy of a year before Ken was killed in a tragic accident while fixing a faulty part under his work van on Dec, 22nd, 2023. I cannot describe to all of you how fortunate I feel for having spent the last 28 years of my life with Ken. He was the best partner and friend I could have asked for and was my reason for living day to day. He took such great care of me and our home and I did my best to give him all of my love and support, as well. What many of you may not know, is that the process for administering a spouse's estate is a long and time consuming affair. The unpaid bills from his business and personal accounts, along with the household expenses and obligations keep coming in on a daily basis, for which I do not have the income nor the capital to meet the overwhelming demand. Although, as his spouse, I am named as his beneficiary of his home and assets, I will not be given access to his accounts until I am able to ge before a judge who will determine who will be named to administer his estate and be given access to his reserve funds. To hire an attorney to represent me in court and throughout the probate process will cost $3000, which Ken has in his checking accounts, but I do not yet have access to those funds. I am in dire need of anyone's help who can give it at this point. His home mortgage was put in default on the day Ken died and according to the stipulation of his mortgage, if I do not raise the $1800+ for our property taxes by April 10th, the lender will begin foreclosure proceedings and I will lose his home for non-compliance. That is merely the tip of the iceburg. I received and end of year electric bill for $900 and the hits just keep on coming. I've tried my best to keep up with our bills but I just don't have that kind of income. Ken's handyman business was our main source of income, so what money is coming in has greatly diminished since his passing. Any help our families, friends and clients can give me would help me a great deal during this difficult time and I would be forever grateful for your kindness and generosity. Thank You. RIP Ken, my love!!
