My sister, Katrina has always been a giver, a true friend to those in need, honest as the day is long and a champion for what she believes in. A bleeding heart for all creatures, man or beast, she collects them, makes them whole with love and care and sends them out into the world again better than she found them...She would never ask for help, even now when she desperately needs it.

Katrina is sick. She has been hiding her illness for some time now and has finally reached her breaking point.  At 5'4, weighing in at 94 pounds she is a ghost of her former full of life self. Suffering from migraines that last days, the temporary loss of sight and the use of the left side of her body, fever with no end, chills that no warmth can dissipate, a stomach that craves to eat, then expels the smallest of meals; she loses 3-5 pounds a week and is fading right before her children’s eyes. The doctors she has seen have given no answers and no useful treatment to her illness as of yet. She has medical debt totaling $13,000 with no end in sight. Due to her illness, she is unable to work and is without health benefits. Her family of 5 is struggling to make ends meet on her husband’s salary alone. They do not qualify for assistance.

Katrina has an appointment with an endocrinologist August 17th; we are hoping to find answers to what is plaguing her health. All donations would go toward her mounting medical debt and future doctor visits/treatments.
