On September 12, 2025, my sweet boy Kartel was diagnosed with heartworms. Hearing those words broke my heart, but I know he’s a fighter and deserves every chance to keep living his happy, goofy life.

Kartel isn’t just any dog—he’s the kind of pup who makes everyone smile. He’s gentle, polite, and endlessly sweet. Whether he’s wagging his tail at neighbors, making new friends everywhere we go, or being his silly, playful self at home, Kartel has a way of spreading joy to everyone who meets him. He truly is one of those dogs people never forget.

His treatment will cost at least $2,000, which is overwhelming, but I’m determined to do everything I can for him. Heartworm treatment is tough, but it’s the only way to give him the long, healthy life he deserves.
