Our German Shepherd Kai is the sweetest, most gentle soul you could ever meet — truly a big baby who just wants love, cuddles, and to be by our side. Kai recently went through a life-threatening emergency when his stomach flipped—something I never imagined I’d have to face. He was rushed to the emergency hospital at 12am on April 6th, and we were faced with the difficult decision to do everything we could to keep him alive. One moment he was his happy, energetic self, and the next, it was a race against time to save his life. I was completely unprepared for the cost of such an urgent surgery, and asking for help was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. Kai was able to get the surgery he needed and is still here with me today. I never thought I’d be in a position where I needed to ask for financial support, but the costs have been overwhelming. This fundraiser is my last resort to help cover Kai’s surgery and his ongoing recovery care. Every single contribution—no matter the amount—will go directly toward his medical expenses.
