Hi everyone, my name is Dustin. I'm trying to get help for my wife, Juanita Teudhope. On September 14th, I took her to the Sacred Heart ER in Panama City because she was hemorrhaging massive amounts and on the verge of passing out. She was anemic and received a blood transfusion. She was then transferred to another hospital in Panama City because she needed to see a specialist. Unfortunately, the specialist at this other hospital didn't see Juanita but did say he would schedule her an appointment to be seen at his office. She was then discharged, but the heavy bleeding continued.

The next day, she scheduled the appointment to be seen as soon as possible, but then received a call back an hour later to be told her appointment was canceled because we don't have insurance. We had insurance for years and have been in between coverage with job changes. We are also currently trying to get coverage. Juanita had no time to wait for that though. She had blurry vision, constant chest pain, and was still bleeding a lot. Then we went to the Sacred Heart ER in Pensacola because they have the specialists she needed to see there.

The staff at Sacred Heart then proceeded to save her life. Juanita was critically low on blood, and they found an artery that was bleeding out of a lesion on her cervix. They put her under for emergency surgery to stop the bleeding and gave her several blood transfusions. The doctors then told her there was a 99% chance that she was suffering from cancer. She was there for four days before getting discharged.

Juanita has a follow-up appointment scheduled and will have to undergo more treatment and surgery. We do currently owe the brilliant, caring Sacred Heart staff for Juanita's life. This excellent care comes with tremendous cost though. We want to be able to pay these incredible people back in a timely manner and to be able to get the rest of the care that Juanita needs.
