Help Save Jovi: Emergency Vet Surgery Needed

Hi everyone! My name is Sydney, and I’m a recent college graduate. I was lucky enough to finish school and paying it off, and to be able to spend time looking for a post-grad job after losing my college job, but unfortunately, life threw an unexpected challenge my way a week later.

My best friend Jovi has swallowed a foreign object that is obstructing his GI tract and is causing displacement of his stomach. Over the past few days, he has been in and out of the emergency vet, undergoing multiple tests, injections, X-rays, and now emergency surgery.

The costs to save Jovi are adding up quickly, and I am trying to everything I can to bring him home safely. Anyone who knows Jovi knows how serious I take being a “dog mom”, and I am absolutely heartbroken that he has to go through this. Jovi is a constant source of joy, support and love in my life. He’s helped me through growing into adulthood, and he has been a best friend to my family and other pups. He has touched the hearts of many, and we are all so devastated.

Jovi’s surgeries all went well, but he is really struggling post-op. He has some puppy anxiety, and hasn’t been eating or drinking. He has never been away from home before, so I can only imagine how scared he feels. He also has some fluid built up in his stomach, so they have been running ultrasounds and other testing to make sure that it clears. On a good note, they are hopeful that he can come home soon. Please continue to keep my sweet boy in your thoughts and prayers, he could really use them right  now. ❤️
