ESPAGNOL DESPUES

Hello friends, family, and unknown angels!

We have a life/death situation in which Josh's life is in our hands; Those who know him know how loving, generous, strong, funny, and carefree this man is- AND WE LOVE HIM.

Here is the wild story resumed for you:

On sunday June 22nd, Josh was returning from the airport on his motorcycle and he lost his balance and most probably hit something (We are still unclear as to what happened). He did not have a helmet on and flew off his bike, hit the back of his head and broke his arm, leg, foot, ribs, and possibly fractured his spine as well.

The person who found him took his phone and his ID- He said that Josh was gasping for air and told him in Spanish: "Please don't let me die".

Now, the situation is that Marsha is safe and staying in a hotel near the hospital. Rosie and Gonzalo (Josh's good friend and lawyer) are taking care of her very well by giving her what she needs (drives, translation, running errands, buying supplies etc).

The situation with Josh's health however, is more uncertain as he is confused, often angry, and trying to remove tubes from his chest that are keeping him alive. The hospital only recently moved him out of the intensive care unit and into a room with no chairs and asked for someone to be next to him 24/7 to make sure he does not remove the tubes. We believe the reason they are not keeping him in an artificial coma instead is due to legal issues regarding payment for his treatment.

Josh requires several surgeries and will need to stay in the current clinic he is in until he is stable. We do not yet know how much it will cost and hopefully if he is well enough, it would be better to move him to a better hospital as the ones in Santa Marta have bad reputations for being careless and not so good- Just to give you an idea, they will not even let us put a mattress next to him to make sure he does not remove the tubes...They will not put another bed in the room and they expect his girlfriend to sleep in a chair.

This is why we are raising money to help pay for surgeries, hopefully have enough to move him to a better place, or at least pay for the best treatments and therapy we can possibly get him. As of now, Marsha is paying for hotels, taxi rides, food, supplies, and more all on her own.

Please do your best to share this to EVERYONE who has the financial means to help- Everyone who has known Josh even for a single day will know just how worthy he is of being saved. Every dollar, euro, or peso counts towards helping us save his life!

If you wish to donate, please know that MARSHA will be the only one who will receive the money (directly to her bank account) as we wish to avoid any more scams she has fallen prey to in this dark time... If you can not contribute financially please try to contact everyone you know who can and will.

We will add you to the "Josh Support" group chat on whatsapp so you can stay updated as well.

Josh is strong and will get through this because he is fighting hard and has all the love and support needed to get back to being the wonderful human being he is!

Thanks for your attention, support, and love.
