My cat Jinx, who just turned 4, was recently diagnosed with severe anemia — her red blood cell count was only 11%, which is dangerously low. The vet said she likely needs a blood transfusion right away to survive.
Right now, I’ve started her on Prednisolone, which is all I could afford up front. It might help stabilize her for a little while, but without more intensive care or a transfusion, the outcome doesn’t look good.
The full treatment cost could be anywhere between $800 and $2,000 or more, depending on how she responds, whether she needs hospitalization, and what underlying cause they find. I’m doing everything I can to keep her comfortable and give her a fighting chance — but I can’t afford this on my own.
Jinx has been with me since she was a kitten. She’s the kind of cat who always wants to be nearby, follows me around the house, and curls up next to me every night. She’s gentle, funny, and has gotten me through a lot over the years. It’s been heartbreaking watching her energy fade — some days she can barely lift her head.
I’m asking for help because I love her and I know there’s a chance to save her if we can just get her the treatment she needs in time. Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world. Even if you can’t give, sharing this helps more than you know.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read her story and for caring.
