My name is Becca, a close friend of Jevranne Martel. I am creating this fundraiser to support her, as she’s is currently faced with a large financial burden described below.

I feel that Jevranne is someone who is truly deserving of help from her community, as she is someone who would take the clothes off of her back for others in a time of crisis. She is an activist for human and animal rights, a huge advocate for mental health, and a very kind person.

The current situation is that her home on wheels has sustained significant rust damage despite it not being a very old vehicle. Mechanics described the damage as being ‘the look of faulty parts’. She has unfortunately discovered that this problem is happening to many other Ford owners with vans from the same year range as hers. Unfortunately, Jevranne has been put in a position where she felt there was no other option than to put the $10,000 of work into her van, as she has built her home inside of it. Without this van, Jevranne would be homeless, and mechanics have told her that it was unsafe to drive off the lot without significant work.

The funds raised will be used to help offset the cost of this unanticipated premature rust damage. I would like to give Jevranne some peace of mind, and allow her to get back to what she does best- helping others around her.

Jevranne had plans of spending her summer running free community events for unhoused or underprivileged people to aid in mental health and addiction recovery. Now that she is dealing with these unexpected costs, she has less time to focus on what matters the most.
