Help save Jethro P Jenkins!

Story

As many to you know, our dogs got too wound up a few days ago and got into a small skirmish. It didn’t seem like a big deal but turns out Jethro got a puncture wound on his arm during the ordeal. Kevin (Fat Daddy) took him to our vet and he got cleaned up right away. Unfortunately, he became septic (blood infection!) from the wound. FD found him unresponsive and had to rush him to our local emergency vet (BEVS) on Thursday where he has remained since. Jethro has been up and down since he got there and it has been quite a roller coaster ride both for him and for us. His blood pressure has been spiking and dropping, seizures have continued, he has a feeding tube, etc. There is some hope that he will recover but the doctors reminded us this morning that while he did better overnight last night he is still the “sickest boy they have” and he has a long way to go to get better. He may even need a surgery (if he becomes stable enough) to remove any dead tissue from his wound which now does seem to be draining properly. We’re not ones for ask for help but this is an expensive journey we’re on. We have a $7,900 bill as of today and Jethro has only been at the hospital since Thursday afternoon. We don’t know what the future holds or if he will even survive this but since so many of you love him - and us- we figured we might try to raise some funds to contribute to his care. He will no doubt be spending a few more days in the hospital and again, he may even need surgery. We TOTALLY understand if you cannot help- and we will do everything we can for him no matter what- but we would love it if you could please keep him in your thoughts and share this if you are able! Thank you all so much! We hope to bring the grumpy guy home as soon as possible and give him many more years of grumpsterhood!
