Help Save Jen and Bob's Home

Donation protected
Many things have happened since the time this photo was taken, at Jen and Bob's wedding. The photo depicts better times. Good memories.

Today, after years of trouble and declining health they may lose their home. At the moment Jen is in the Critical Care Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital. We nearly lost her two days ago. The doctors still aren't certain what went wrong, but she is in a medically induced coma while they try to figure it out.

It wasn't supposed to be this way. They had a plan. After years of health struggles, they were both going to get bariatric surgery to lose weight so they could get knee replacement surgery. It wasn't going to happen overnight, but at least they had a plan. They were certain in a year they'd both be back to working full time. Or so they thought.

Till her surgery, Jen drove a school van. She was told if all went well she could return to work within a fairly short time. Bob was applying for work at several places, but the fact that he can hardly walk didn't help. He had several phone interviews that he felt very positive about, but once they met in person they told him that they had another person more qualified.

Still, they thought they would manage their rent and other bills. Unfortunately, because Jen will be hospitalized for an undetermined amount of time they will have no income. Their priority is that she recovers completely and take whatever time is needed to get back to better health.

Their landlord takes no excuse for late rent. They were only able to make a partial payment for this month's rent and are being penalized $25 a day. With things as they are, they may not even have a home for Jen to come home to when she is discharged. The $2000 will help pay the rest of December's rent and January. We'll keep praying it won't be any longer than that.

It is hard to stay positive. We, like so many others, are unable to help them with what they need to keep their home.

We know this is a difficult time of year for everyone, especially after Covid, but this is the only thing left to do. So, if you can, please help. If you can't help financially, please say a prayer. Jen is not out of the woods yet. There is a possibility she will need up to five more exploratory surgeries.
