Help Save Jeeves's Life

Hello, all the good people of the World! My name is Jeeves, I’m a loving two-year-old British longhair cat and I’m asking for help on behalf of my family to save my life.

I developed an eye disease in both eyes, my doctor calls Deep Corneal Sequestrum and requires a procedure called a keratectomy in both eyes (hard for me to pronounce, being a cat!). From what I understand, my corneas ulcerated very deeply causing the corneal tissue to die, and the surgeon needs to remove the dead tissue, and then graft new eye tissue to fill the defect over the corneas to stabilize my eyes. Sounds scary to me, but I’m tough and I have a great family that will take good care of me during my recovery! I don’t have much time before I’m in real trouble.

My diagnosis was last Tuesday, November 28th, 2023, and my doctor said I am so bad that she scheduled my surgery for Tuesday, December 5th, 2023. My dad had to cancel the surgery because he couldn’t come up with the funds. It has crushed him. I can tell how sad he is because he cries every night when no-one is looking. I just crawl up beside him, purr loudly to try and comfort him and give him hope.

If I don’t receive surgery very soon, the dead tissue in my corneas will pull away and my eyes will rupture exposing the inner eye to the World. At that point, they will have to remove my eyes, which also is VERY expensive, or send me to the rainbow bridge, and I’m not ready to do that as I still have so much love to give, especially to my dad because I know how much he loves and needs me.

Please don’t tell dad that I shared his story with you because he’s a proud but humble guy. Pre-Covid, he could afford this surgery for me with no problem. During the Covid years, his business really suffered and the family experienced extreme financial hardship. The surgery for my eye’s costs $7000.00. Fortunately, they are recovering now, but $7000.00 right now is just out of their reach and time is not on my side.

I’m asking you to please help me and save my life. Not just for me, but so I can grow old with my family and give them the love they need, and they can give the love I need. Especially my dad because he is my best friend and I love him so much and I know he loves me too.
