We are writing to ask for your help in supporting Jebin, a devoted father, a loving husband, a beloved only son, and a compassionate caregiver who has spent the past five years serving others as a healthcare worker in the NHS, UK. Today, Jebin needs our care as he fights for his life in a critical condition in India.
My Story – Jebin’s Journey:
In May 2023, Jebin was diagnosed with leukoencephalopathy, a rare and debilitating neurological condition. At the time, he was living in the UK and working in the NHS at Stepping Hill Hospital. Despite aggressive treatment with high-dose steroids and a hopeful tapering plan, his condition slowly deteriorated.
In November 2024, he flew to India seeking specialist care. However, things took a heartbreaking turn. He developed meningitis, which triggered a severe neurological flare-up and left him hospitalized in CMC Vellore. He remained there for several months undergoing intensive care, receiving treatments such as steroids, IVIg, and Tocilizumab.
After a brief moment of hope and a transfer to Mount Zion Medical College for rehabilitation, tragedy struck again—Jebin contracted pneumonia, leading to respiratory failure. He is now on a ventilator, fighting for his life in the ICU.
His dream to return to the UK for advanced care has been put on hold—his condition is too critical for travel. Right now, continuing his treatment in India is his only option.
