URGENT UPDATE: 3 DAYS LEFT — JAYCE’S TRANSPLANT BEGINS JAN 22

$9,947 has already been raised. Thank you SO MUCH. We now have 3 DAYS LEFT to reach the remaining need.

Jayce (7) is in active heart failure and begins heart-transplant procedures January 22. We were told we had six months, but that timeline collapsed last week at his appointment when we learned his heart could not wait. The $39,000 transplant copay became immediately due to keep him alive, and it has already been paid.

Paying that copay wiped us out completely. We now have 5 DAYS LEFT to prevent losing our home and Faithful Horizons of Washington — a registered 501(c)(3) faith-based equine trauma-recovery ranch that is also our family’s residence and a program site serving people suffering from trauma, behavioral health issues, homelessness, and addiction.

During that same week, our ranch property was completely underwater for two days due to tremendous flooding. The water has receded for now, but additional flooding is expected to begin again next week.

This fundraiser is for emergency housing and ranch stabilization so our family and this nonprofit mission are not displaced during Jayce’s transplant and recovery.

Funds will be used for:

Housing/ranch payment stabilization (our residence + program site)
Essential nonprofit ranch operations and animal care
Immediate post-flood stabilization needs

All donations are tax-deductible (Faithful Horizons is a registered 501(c)(3)).

Thank you for every prayer, donation, and share — your timing truly matters right now.

A Mother Asking for a Miracle: Help Save My Son’s Heart and Our Home

My name is Amanda Meyer, and I never imagined I would be writing something like this.

I am a mom, a woman of faith, and the founder of a nonprofit vision called Faithful Horizons – an equine-assisted trauma recovery ranch that I fully believe God entrusted to me to help save lives. Today, I am coming to you not as a leader or business owner, but as a mother who has run out of options and is praying for a miracle.

Jayce’s Story – 7 Years of Fighting

My son Jayce is 7 years old. He has been in active heart failure since he was 23 weeks gestation. From the very beginning of his life, he has defied odds that doctors didn’t think he would. He is brave, funny, full of life, and has the most incredible spirit.

For years, we have lived in this delicate balance of monitoring, appointments, procedures, and constant watchfulness. Recently, we were told we likely had until June before we would need to move forward with the heart transplant process. That timeline gave us just enough hope to plan, save, and prepare—both emotionally and financially.

But a very recent appointment changed everything.

The News No Parent Is Ready For

After reviewing his latest tests and numbers, the medical team told us that we can’t wait any longer.

The time to move is now.

On January 22nd, Jayce will begin the procedures that lead toward transplanting his heart. There are no words to explain what it feels like to hear that your child’s heart—his actual heart—must be replaced to keep him alive. There is grief, fear, hope, and love all wrapped together.

The surgery alone is $1.6 million. Insurance helps, but it doesn’t cover everything. Our co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs have been absolutely devastating. I have poured every cent I have into securing the care my son needs, and I would do it again without hesitation.

But in doing that, something else has happened.

A Choice No Mother Should Ever Have to Make

Because of the financial hit from medical expenses and preparing for this transplant, we are now in a critical housing crisis.

We were already stretched thin from building and moving onto a 40-acre ranch that is meant to become Faithful Horizons – a trauma recovery ranch where people battling addiction, loss, PTSD, and deep pain can find healing through connection, therapy, and horses. This ranch was more than a dream; it was a calling. I truly believe God placed this property in our hands to serve others.

Now, right before Christmas, we have been given 10 days to come up with $25,000.

If we do not come up with this amount, we stand to lose:

Our home

The ranch property that I know in my heart God gave us to save lives

The stability Jayce desperately needs as he heads into the fight of his life

I was forced into a choice that no mother should ever have to make:
Do I prioritize my son’s heart or our home?

I chose my son’s heart.
And now we are praying that God, and the kindness of others, will help us save our home too.

What Your Support Will Help With

Every dollar raised will go directly toward:

Preventing us from losing our home and ranch by covering the immediate $25,000 emergency we are facing.

Keeping our family stable and housed while Jayce undergoes transplant procedures, recovery, and follow-up care.

Preserving Faithful Horizons, the ranch that is meant to become a safe haven for others walking through their darkest seasons of trauma, addiction, and crisis.

I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for a roof over our heads and the chance to keep this property so that Jayce, my family, and so many others can one day experience the healing it was meant to bring.

Why This Matters So Much

This isn’t just about bills and numbers.

This is about a little boy who has fought his whole life to be here.

It’s about a family that has done everything humanly possible to stand on faith and keep going, even when the ground keeps shifting underneath us.

It’s about a mission bigger than us—a ranch that is intended to rescue people who feel too broken, too addicted, too traumatized to believe there is hope.

Right now, we are standing in the middle of all of it—medical emergency, financial crisis, and spiritual calling—holding on to faith and asking for help.

From a Mother’s Heart

Writing this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I am used to being the one fighting for others—advocating, serving, building, pushing forward for those in crisis. Asking for help like this is humbling and painful, but I know I cannot do this alone.

From the deepest place in my heart:
Thank you for reading, for caring, for giving, for sharing, and for praying.

Whether you donate, share, or simply hold us in your thoughts, please know that your support means more than words can say. You are helping us fight for Jayce’s life, for our home, and for the future of Faithful Horizons.

With love and gratitude,

Amanda Meyer & Family
For Jayce’s heart. For our home. For every life this ranch is meant to touch.
