Help save Jasper after tragic accident

The other day Jasper the Cocker Spaniel went missing for a few hours, which is very unlike him; he's one of the kids, wants to be where the people (and foods) are, always happy and wanting belly rubs. After hours of desperate looking we found him on a whim in the least likely place; shocked, bleeding and concussed in the middle of the train tracks half a km away from our house. We don't know how or why he ended up there, but that's where we found him, in the blackness of night. He's most likely been snipped by a train. No, there's no way he should be able to get there, through fences and steep hills and bracken and bushland, so something special must have happened.

We got him to the vet straight away, and for the last few days he's been under emergency care there with a broken sinus, several punctures, and now a heavy bacterial infection w/puss in the eyes, and a few broken teeth. His breathing is stabilising, and he's on heavy pain-killers, but the next couple of days are critical.

With all this comes expenses that's quickly outgrowing something we can't cover. We're not rich. We've started selling stuff, but it won't get here in time. We'd never ask anyone for anything, but we're about to lose our best friend over decissions over what meds are cheaper than others. We feel awful about this, but Jasper is so loved and so important to us that we're now quickly putting together this page to see if that's a way that could help us, even a little bit.

We're all devestated, and there's still so many unanswered questions about what happened that night, it's all so random and out of character. If you know Jasper, you know what a source of love and happiness he is to everyone that meets him. We're not asking for much, just enough to try to save him, he means so much to us and people who know him.
