to me
We were told my mom has Stage 4 metastatic cancer. It came without warning, and it has moved fast. She is currently hospitalized, and our family is facing the unthinkable — but we were given one real chance to fight back.
A life-saving treatment is available in Georgia. It offers hope — hope for more time, more memories, and more life. But her insurance will not cover it due to Medicaid limitations. The cost is $27,000 out of pocket.
We are asking for help to give her that chance.
My mom is not just our mom — she is the heart of our family and a pillar in our community. She has been a small business owner in Lexington for over 25 years, dedicating her life to serving others. She is the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation. She believed everyone deserved a place to rest, a meal to eat, and someone to sit beside them. She didn’t just believe in helping people — she lived it every day.
She is a wife of nearly 35 years to my dad, her partner in everything. Together, they built their life side by side, showing us what real love, loyalty, and commitment look like. She is a mother to four children and a grandmother to four grandchildren who love and need her deeply.
She has always been the strong one. The helper. The one who held everything together. She spent her life making sure her children felt safe, supported, and loved — giving us stability and opportunities she never had herself.
This diagnosis has shaken us, but it has also shown us just how many lives she has touched.
Now, she needs the same help she has given so freely to others.
Every donation, every share, and every prayer brings her closer to accessing the treatment that could save her life. If you are unable to give, sharing her story is just as meaningful.
We are fighting for more time with her. More birthdays. More holidays. More moments that matter.
Thank you for standing with our family and helping us fight for her life
We have been told this treatment must be started soon, and time is critical.
