Brief Overview:
My name is Zach, and beside me is my sister, Elizabeth. Our incredible father, Jim, is facing a life-threatening heart condition (severe coronary artery disease) that requires open-heart surgery (quadruple bypass).
This has been—and will continue to be—one of the most challenging times of our lives.
Our dad is a proud man, and asking for help has never been his strong suit. That’s why we’ve decided to take action on his behalf. Without his knowledge, we created this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burdens of his upcoming medical bills, medication costs, and the long road to recovery ahead.
Jim’s Story
Jim isn’t just our father—he’s our rock, our teacher, and our hero. He’s the kind of man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need without hesitation.
His heart, which now needs urgent medical intervention, has always been a symbol of his boundless generosity, love, and kindness.
This surgery is critical, but it also comes with a difficult recovery—weeks in the hospital, months of rehabilitation, and lifelong changes. Unfortunately, insurance will only cover a portion of the expenses. The out-of-pocket costs for the procedure, hospital stays, medications, and post-operative care are overwhelming for our family.
Whether he’s lending a helping hand, sharing his contagious laughter, or offering words of wisdom, Jim has touched countless lives with his warmth and selflessness.
Now, as he prepares for this major surgery and the tough road ahead, we’re asking for your help to support the man who has always supported everyone else.
What Lies Ahead
- Bypass Surgery & Recovery – This invasive procedure will require weeks of hospitalization, followed by months of rehabilitation. The road to healing will be long and challenging.
- Medical Expenses – Insurance won’t cover everything, leaving us with significant costs for the surgery, hospital stays, and specialist care.
- Ongoing Treatment – Jim will need physical therapy, specialized medications, and around-the-clock care at home to ensure a full recovery.
