Help Save Jalapeno

Hello Everyone!!

As many of you know, I am the owner of Jalapeno Southwest Grill in Harrisonburg, Va. We are a local hotspot and very popular with Valley residents and JMU. But the recent economic downturn has hit us very hard, and we're finding it harder and harder to keep our doors open. I am very proud of the fact that we actually made it through the pandemic, but this is a very different situation. I completely understand that this sudden financial hardship is hitting everyone, and I know many of you are finding it difficult to support the establishments you love so much. A very good friend suggested that I start this page in an effort to raise some small capital to keep us afloat until JMU starts back up in a few weeks. I have been working with a few local mentors on ways to improve our dining experience with some menu revamping and creative promotional ideas that may make us an even more affordable and fun place when choosing to dine out or pick up carryout.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your love and support over the last 3 years. I'm often asked if I knew then what I know now, would I do it again? In a heartbeat. While it's been challenging at times, the friendships, experiences and knowledge I've gained are irreplaceable.

Any amount, no matter how great or how small, is beyond appreciated and goes direcly to the business.
