Goodbye Jack, we will never forget you.

UPDATE: We are extremely sad to tell everyone the sad news. Jack did not recover from the second surgery. He was declining quickly so we decided to take him home and put him to rest in peace. He was around people that loved him very much and the boys were able to see him and say goodbye. This was the hardest thing we have ever had to do. Jack was cheated out of a long happy life. He was a perfect dog and we are grateful to have had him while we could.
We rescued Jack when he was only 6 months old from the local animal shelter. My son picked Jack from the many other dogs at the shelter for his birthday and fell in love with him immediately. There has always been a special bond between those two. When we tell the kids "it's time for bed", Jack grabs his blanky and runs to the room. He sleeps at the boy's feet every night. Unfortunately, it was the blanky that Jack would chew on that became lodged in his stomach. While traveling, we had to transport Jack to an emergency Vet who performed surgery to help save his life. There were additional complications, the Vet then recommended another surgery to fix some fluid leakage, we were running out of options and we were thousands of miles away from home scared for our dog's life.
If you have ever met Jackie Boy, you understand how special he is. Everyone loves him and remembers him.

Jack is still not doing very well and we don't know how we can afford to keep having the emergency vet operate on him and I don't know how we can get him somewhere else for treatment. We are scared and feel extremely helpless. With the help of some of the most incredible people in our neighborhood, we have been very lucky and will be eternally grateful for the help they have given us. Angela and William from Smart Dog Dallas have taken Jack across town to the emergency vet multiple times and they have been there every single day for us. Dr. Stacie from Dallas Paws has helped us navigate through all of the medical jargon since day one. She has been more help than words can express. We never imagined ourselves in such a dire state where we don't know what is going to happen to our beloved family member and we can't continue to rack up emergency vet bills. Please help us to raise as much as we can so our boys can see their dog again.

Thank you for all of your love and support.
