SAVE 30 YEARS OF JAM BAND HISTORY BEFORE IT'S LOST FOREVER

When James Brown took the stage at Telluride's Blues & Brews festival just days after 9/11, when the USA shut down most events, Annemarie Jacar captured his soul-stirring rendition of the Star Spangled Banner—a powerful moment in American music history now at risk of being lost forever.

For three decades, Jacar has documented the jam band movement through her lens. As founder of JamCamTV.blog, her irreplaceable archive features:

Hundreds of hours of performances by Grateful Dead, Phish, Dave Matthews Band, Widespread Panic, James Brown, Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, Colonel Bruce Hampton, Willie Nelson, Warren Haynes, Phil Lesh, Susan Tedeschi, Bonnie Raitt and over 150+ more legendary artists.

Exclusive interviews with fan-suggested questions—leading to deep, unfiltered conversations that earned her the nickname "the Barbara Walters of music" from Oteil Burbridge.

THE URGENT NEED
These tapes have actually survived two fires—one in Manhattan and the second in Colorado's 2021 Marshall Fire. Annemarie has protected this content through countless challenges, but analog media degrades over time. Without professional digitization, this precious unreleased footage could be lost forever. Many featured musicians have already passed away, making this archive truly irreplaceable.

WhileJamCamTVblog offers a glimpse into the scope of Annemarie's work, the vast majority of this collection lives on fragile analog tapes—footage that has yet to be digitized, restored, and shared with the world.

THE VISION

Develop a multi-format archive that honors this pivotal musical movement. This vast collection will become a living time capsule and multimedia historic preservation project showcasing three decades of jam band evolution. With hundreds of hours of exclusive footage, we'll produce documentaries, artist retrospectives, and reaction features where musicians see their 30-year-old performances and interviews—often for the first time. These genuine moments of reflection will create powerful connections between the early days of the jam scene and today's thriving festival culture, capturing the full arc of this uniquely American musical community.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION FUNDS
- $15,000 – Professional tape restoration and digitization
- $25,000 – Post-production and editing
- $35,000 – Music licensing and legal clearances
- $15,000 – Distribution and film festival submissions

This archive captures the essence of a movement that thrives on community. Before smartphones, Annemarie's cameras preserved these fleeting moments of musical magic. "I was Almost Phamous," says Jacar, "filming my way across the states, one jam band at a time."
This is OUR story—the tale of a community that changed music forever. Just as we once traded tapes, now we need your help to preserve this vital piece of our collective history.

Jacar is a two-time cancer survivor and single mom who has done everything in her power to protect this archive against the odds. Now, she's asking for your help to bring it back to life.

Join us. Every dollar counts. Be part of music history.
