My good friend’s son has faced more loss than most people could imagine. He lost his mother to cancer when he was just 16, and not long after, his grandmother passed away in 2018. Since then, he’s been left completely alone—his father and both sides of his family have not been there for him. The only thing he has left is the house he grew up in, filled with memories of his mother, grandmother, and the nursery they ran together in the early 2000s.
Now, he’s at risk of losing that home because of back taxes. When his mother and grandmother passed, he was still so young and didn’t have the support or guidance he needed to manage things on his own. The house is more than just a place to live—it’s his last connection to his family, their traditions, and the love they shared.
Before his mother passed, I was going to be his godparent. Even though life took us in different directions, I made a promise to his mother that I would help him as much as I could. I live paycheck to paycheck and can’t give him the money myself, but I want to do everything possible to keep my promise. That’s why I’m reaching out for help. Every donation, no matter the size, will help him keep his home and honor his family’s legacy. Please join me in supporting him during this difficult time.
