Help Save Hibatullah’s Hips and Faysol’s Heart ❤️
Meet the Akinkunmi Family
Hibatullah and Faysol are siblings, born to their devoted mother, Hamdallah Akinkunmi, who has lovingly carried the weight of their care since childhood. From endless hospital corridors to sleepless nights at home, she has stood by them through years of pain, fear, and countless medical battles.
Both children have lived with serious health conditions since birth — challenges that would overwhelm most families. Yet, with their mother’s unwavering strength and love, they have kept fighting.
Hibatullah’s Story
Hibatullah is a final-year student at the University of Ibadan. She has lived with Sickle Cell Disease all her life. Recently, a complication known as Avascular Necrosis has destroyed both of her hip joints. She is now in constant, excruciating pain and can barely walk.
Just when she thought she could reassure her mother that the worst was over and she could finally graduate, her condition deteriorated. She now urgently needs hip replacement surgery costing £8,000 to relieve her pain, help her walk again, and give her a chance at a normal life.
Faysol’s Story
Her younger brother, Faysol, was born with a hole in his heart (a congenital heart defect). For 20 years, he has fought bravely to live a normal life. Sadly, his heart is now failing, and without urgent surgery, he may not survive.
He needs life-saving heart surgery costing£4,000 to give him the chance to live, dream, and grow into the future he deserves.
Why We Need Your Help Now
Together, the total cost for both children’s surgeries is £12,000. This includes hospital fees, surgery, post-operative care, and essential medications.
Their mother has carried this burden alone for decades — but now, she cannot do it without us.
