David Macon is a 24 year old male who is currently suffering from Cutaneous T Cell Lymphoma (CTCL) and Mycosis Fungoides the higher the stage the lower the survival rate and window. He was diagnosed with stage 4 with a median survival rate of one year. Unfortunately David cannot afford the treatment he needs due to his insurance not covering it and is suffering from pain that keeps him from doing daily task. Cancer treatment centers of America had offered to cover the cost and treat him, he would just have to drive to Zion IL, but when he got there they had informed him that they do not treat his rare form of cancer. I met David at NIU where we were both pursing our bachelors degree. I remember David mostly staying in his dorm and missing class a lot because of his skin condition and being hospitalized. David was able to finish college and maintain his bachelors degree despite the many struggle days of dealing with his illness to later find out that he has cancer. David is the most kind hearted, selfless person I have ever met, he is an amazing father to his daughter and the most amazing friend to the people around him. Any small amount donated would be greatly appreciated to help save my friends life. He is so young still and deserves to live a long healthy life.

It’s been six months since I made this fundraiser for David and he still has not been able to get any cancer treatment due to his insurance not covering it. His condition continues to worsen and will soon be at the point where treatment won’t save him. We also found out that medication he was given as a kid for a different illness is what caused the lymphoma in the first place. Please share this to help him reach his goal.
