Hi Everyone, I hope this finds you well.
I got Hecate as a TNR. I was just supposed to keep her while she recovered from her spay, a few days at most. It took less than that to realize that I loved her and wanted to keep her. That was during the initial outbreak of COVID-19. We weathered the worst of the storm and came out stronger on the other side.
In the last few weeks Hecate started eating less and less, until in the last couple of days when she was eating nothing at all. We took her into the vet to get checked out and they told us her liver enzymes were through the roof, and had us rush her to the specialist animal hospital about 30 minutes away. There they told us that we needed to pay for a laundry list of tests and antibiotics and an overnight stay, so we did by taking out a care credit loan. The next day we got a call from the vet saying that they needed to insert a feeding tube. Between the insertion of the feeding tube, another over night stay, more medications, they want even more now.
We have already paid over 3k and now need to pony up another 4k, not including what she will need when she gets home, the special food, and everything else she will need. I am asking for help to save the love of my life. She will die if I cannot pay for this procedure, and I cannot save her life without your help. Please consider donating what you can, and help this disable human save their animal companion. I don't know what I would do without my girl.
For everyone who donates I will include healing updates and lots of pictures of the fluffy baby. Thank you. This isn't just saving her life, it's saving mine.
The funds are going directly towards Hecate's care and wellbeing. We need to be able to pay for her follow-up appointments, as well as her medications moving forward which will also be funded as much as possible through the GoFundMe. We will also use whatever money is left over to start to pay off her CareCedit Card, that paid for the first part of her stay at the hospital.
