Help Protect Harvey Lee Price Park
Harvey Lee Price Park is the heart of the Prices Fork Village community— a peaceful, beloved green space enjoyed daily by walkers, hikers, cyclists, birdwatchers, dog owners, students, and neighbors from across Montgomery County. With rapid development in the area, the park has become one of the few remaining places where residents can enjoy the tranquility of the outdoors. What many people don’t realize is that Price Park is not a publicly maintained park. It is cared for entirely by Friends of the Rivers of Virginia (FORVA) — a 501(c)(3) nonprofit— along with dedicated local volunteers. Even more surprising: Prices Fork Village is the only village in Montgomery County without a county‑administered public park, despite experiencing significant growth over the past five years.

Why Your Support Is Needed Now:
Portions of the land currently used as part of Price Park — including the parking area and Sandy Circle access frontage — are not owned by FORVA and are now at risk of being sold at auction. Losing this parcel would jeopardize the park’s long‑term future.
This GoFundMe aims to help FORVA purchase the remaining privately held land to secure access permanently. Once access is protected, the long‑term goal is to encourage Montgomery County to adopt Price Park as an official county park, ensuring lasting stewardship and public protection. Of the $110,000 needed, FORVA has already raised half. We now need the community’s help to close the gap. Every contribution — no matter the size — moves us closer to securing the future of Harvey Lee Price Park.

All donations are tax‑deductible.
