Help Save Handsworth Cycling Club! We Need a New Home
Donation protected
For almost a decade, Handsworth Community Cycling Club has empowered families and individuals to get active, build confidence, and discover the joy of cycling.
From free Learn to Ride sessions to guided rides across Birmingham, we’ve brought the community together through two wheels, shared smiles and helped people of all ages embrace cycling as a fun and healthy lifestyle.
But now, we’re at risk of losing it all.
Our current base at Oakland is being repurposed to build a much-needed special needs secondary school, a project we fully support.
However, this means we urgently need to relocate.
The Good News:
We've secured a new home at Holyhead School.
The Challenge:
We need to raise £3,000 to:
- Purchase a secure 20' x 8' container to store bikes and equipment £2,500 approx.
- Level the ground for safe installation £500 approx.
- Continue delivering free cycling sessions and community rides £0.00
As a small, volunteer-led club with no major funding nor do we charge membership fees, your support matters. Whether it’s £5, £50, or simply sharing this appeal, you can make a real difference.
Transparency:
Every penny will be accounted for, we’ll share updates and receipts. If we secure equipment at a lower cost, the difference will be refunded to donors. Businesses and cycling clubs are welcome to sponsor a portion in return for a social media shoutout.
