We’re asking for help during an incredibly painful time for our family.
My uncle and his family are fighting to save their dog, Gizmo, who has been diagnosed with a life-threatening mass on his leg. The vet has told them that the mass must be surgically removed as soon as possible. Without surgery, they will have no choice but to put him down.
Gizmo isn’t “just a dog.” He is a part of their family, and even more than that, he is a living connection to my cousin, their daughter, who recently passed away. Gizmo was her dog. He was her companion, her comfort, and part of her everyday life. Since her passing, Gizmo has become a source of comfort, memories, and emotional support for the entire family. He is one of the last pieces of her they still get to hold onto.
Losing him right now would be another devastating blow to a family already carrying unimaginable grief.
The cost of the surgery and medical care is more than they can manage on their own while dealing with everything else life has thrown at them. That’s why we’re reaching out for help. Every donation, no matter how small, brings Gizmo closer to the surgery he needs and gives this family a chance to keep this piece of their daughter’s memory alive.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing. Your support, prayers, and kindness mean more than we can put into words.
Thank you for helping us fight for Gizmo.
