This is my cat, Gingy. He’s around 14 years old and has been a huge part of our family for many years. After months of battling an oral infection that caused him to lose over 30% of his body weight, he’s now developed a tumor. Unfortunately, we can’t afford the surgery he urgently needs. Without it, our only option may be to put him down, and we don’t want him to live in pain.
Gingy’s story is a special one. When I was younger, he wasn’t our cat he was just a skinny little guy with fleas who wandered our street. I’d always wanted a cat, but my family wasn’t inclined back then. Still, I’d stop to pet him whenever I saw him, and he’d follow me home. Eventually, we started feeding him, treated his fleas, and he just… stayed. His previous owners didn’t seem to care, so we took him in. And over time, my family fell in love with him too.
Gingy is more than just a pet. He’s incredibly smart he knows how to shake hands, give high-fives, and respond to all sorts of commands. He’s brought so much joy, love, and laughter into our lives. He’s truly a member of our family. He never scratches or bites. He’s the most affectionate cat you’ll ever meet. He’ll walk up to anyone on the street and meow until he gets pats.
Now he needs us more than ever. If you’re able to help, even just a little, it would mean the world. All donations will go directly toward his vet bills and surgery. Thank you so much for reading and for caring about our sweet Gingy.
