Ginger is fighting for her life right now after accidentally eating gum containing xylitol, a sugar substitute that is extremely toxic to dogs. Xylitol causes a dangerous drop in blood sugar and can also lead to sudden liver failure.

She has already experienced a severe blood glucose crash, and the veterinarians have warned us that without hospitalization, IV support, and constant monitoring, she may not survive.

The cost of this emergency care is overwhelming for me, but I cannot imagine losing her because of finances. She is my best friend, my family, and my constant companion.
