Gimli is our 7-year-old Valley Bulldog and the heart of our family. Recently, he developed bladder stones, with one becoming dangerously lodged in his urethra. The only way to save him is a scrotal urethrostomy, a surgery that will give him the best chance at a normal, happy life. Right now, Gimli is at the vet waiting for this urgent procedure. Without it, we face the heartbreaking reality of having to say goodbye far too soon.

This past year has been incredibly tough for us. My husband lost his job, and we’ve used up all our savings just trying to keep up. Now, we’re facing a devastating choice—Gimli’s surgery and aftercare are simply out of reach financially, but he means everything to us. He’s not just a pet; he’s our best friend, our kids’ trampoline buddy, and the loving, grumpy face who’s always there for a hug or a game. Whether he’s working on his “beefy muscles” with push-ups, chasing lights, or just lying by our side, Gimli brings joy and comfort to everyone he meets.
