A week ago, Georgina started having trouble breathing, which scared us so much that we rushed her to the Vet ER. After several tests, they found a tumor in her throat. We were referred to a cancer care center, and our worst fears were confirmed, my doggy Georgina has cancer. The recommended treatment is radiotherapy, but the cost is overwhelming and far more than we can afford right now. Georgina means the world to me. She was born from strays in my backyard when I lived in Puerto Rico, and I picked her from the litter and named her after Curious George. She’s a shy girl at first, but once she gets to know you, she’s full of energy and love. I love playing video games while she lays beside me on the couch, keeping me company. We enjoy going outside together, I love dressing up in cosplay with her, and she truly is my best friend. I’m not ready to lose Georgina, but if I don’t do something, this disease will take her from me. I’m willing to do whatever it takes to save her, including selling my things on Depop to help raise money. But I can’t do it alone. I’m asking for your help, any donation or support you can give will go directly toward Georgina’s treatment and give her the best chance at recovery. Thank you for reading our story and for caring about Georgina.
