Help Save Gabriel Izan — A Brave 5-Year-Old Fighting for His Life

Dear Friends, Family, and Kindhearted Souls,

With a mother’s heart full of love, hope, and deep desperation, I humbly reach out to you today to ask for your prayers and support for my precious son, Gabriel Izan, a brave 5-year-old boy from the Philippines who is fighting Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome (WAS) — a rare and life-threatening immune disorder.

This journey has been unbearably painful for our family. I have already lost two sons to similar blood disorders. My eldest passed away at just 11 months old due to severe bleeding, and my second child left us at only 2 years and 11 months, after suffering a brain hemorrhage caused by dangerously low platelets. Their passing shattered me, and for so long, I lived without answers — only grief.

When Gabriel was born, I prayed history wouldn’t repeat itself. But the same cycle of frequent illnesses, infections, and unexplained symptoms returned. After years of searching for answers, doctors finally diagnosed him with Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome. The diagnosis gave us clarity, but it also confirmed our greatest fear: his only chance for survival is a bone marrow transplant — a procedure that is not available in the Philippines.

Despite the overwhelming costs, our family has done everything possible to give Gabriel the care he needs. My husband works overseas to support us, and I devote every moment to his treatment. But we are now facing a challenge we cannot overcome alone.

We are humbly asking for your help. Our child needs urgent medical intervention, and we are preparing to bring him to the United States for the specialized treatment and bone marrow transplant that could save his life.

This journey comes with enormous financial burden — from medical expenses, to travel, accommodation, and long-term care. Every peso, every dollar, every share, and every prayer matters and brings us one step closer to giving Gabriel a future.
