Hello, my name is Sovondy. This morning I woke up to blood on the floor coming from my dog’s leg, soaking through his pajamas. I did my best to stop the bleeding and clean him up, but it was frightening to see.
Fuzzy has had a mass on his leg since July. At the time, the vet said it was composed of fat and white blood cells and was not cancerous. Unfortunately, it has continued to grow and is now about the size of a tennis ball. The vet confirmed it is not attached to the bone, but it needs to be removed before it worsens. The cost of the procedure is estimated at $2,500, which I’m unable to afford on my own.
Fuzzy is 13 years old and truly one of the gentlest dogs you could ever meet. In all the years I’ve had him, he’s barked only a handful of times and has never bitten—he’s just a big cuddler who loves being outdoors and hiking. He was raised by three young girls, and when he grew too big for their home, I adopted him at one year old. I assumed the mass was simply part of aging, but seeing him bleed made it clear I need to act.
He doesn’t appear to be in pain, but I don’t want to wait until he is.
If you’re able to help in any way—through a donation, sharing this fundraiser, or if you’re a veterinarian who might offer a discounted procedure—I would be deeply grateful. Thank you for taking the time to read and for any support you can offer.
