It's very hard for me to do this, but I don’t feel like I have a choice. I adopted Franklin from someone who said she was getting rid of him because she was pregnant. I know you should always go through a reputable rescue or shelter, I just thought I was doing the right thing and she was just the kind of person who gets rid of a puppy. There are people like that.
As it turns out, she and her fiancee are what they call “puppy flippers” who get dogs and profit off rehoming fees. Franky tested positive for parvo and is now fighting for his life at Central Veterinary Hospital. I have notified the authorities, rescues and shelters in the area to prevent this from happening to someone else.
As I said, it’s difficult to ask, but with the current situation, we really could use the help. If you can help in any way, please donate anything you can. If you can’t donate, please share. If there is money left over after the vet bills, all remaining will be donated to our local no-kill shelter or to another person in my situation.
Thank you,
Catherine
