Help Save Frankie!

We rescued Frankie off the street at the beginning of this year. A colleague had been feeding him outside and found him with mange covering his face. She helped get his skin taken care of and we adopted him as our first cat. He's named after Frank Sinatra for his blue eyes and charm.
We fell completely in love with him and his warmth very quickly, he got out of his carrier and it was like he'd been living here and known us for months. Its been an incredible 5 months, and since then we've also rescued a little sister who loves him so much too. He's been at the animal hospital for less than a day but his absence can't be avoided, we're missing him meandering about all day and working Monday won't be the same without him on my desk keeping me company.
Frankie is currently at the animal hospital awaiting an ultrasound and other tests to figure out exactly why his liver is failing on him. This issue started when he vomited his dinner a few days ago, we haven't seen our little guy been the same since. He's had a complete loss of appetite and is starting to develop jaundice as his skin, gums, and eyes are are turning yellow. We've done x-rays and several different blood exams to pinpoint the issue and so far all we have determined his liver enzymes are off. Over the next few days, the vet will conduct more exams and hopefully they can find out exactly what is making our Frankers sick.
Since June 3rd, we've spent over $6,000 in veterinary bills. This amount is only for diagnostic testing and hospitalization, including nasal tube nutrition and fluids to keep him stable. We know there will be additional costs coming once the vet determines what is wrong with our nugget. We realize we are asking for a lot of our costs during a time of financial insecurity for just about everyone and we don't expect to meet our goal but anything helps. The most important thing is to have him back home and healthy and we're extremely grateful for any help in lessening this unexpected cost.
