The CoronaVirus has drastically effected so many, it's easy to forget about how enormous that effect is on our favorite Small Businesses!
The State of Maryland has shut down restaurants, including Foraged. Needless to say, this will effect the entire staff who are dedicated, passionate, and work tirelessly to bring Baltimore their best! Foraged needs a bit of help to sustain the restaurant and the farms they support over the next few weeks. Chef Chris is trying to keep the staff on payroll and wants to assure they have a restaurant to come back to once this crisis is over.
Foraged. has set and withheld the absolute highest standard in the industry since their opening day and has been fully committed to sourcing EVERYTHING from local farmers. That means that every time you support Foraged, you support local farmers!
Chef Chris has put his entire heart and soul into this restaurant, right down to the Live Hydroponic Walls you get to enjoy while dining, or the hours he spends in the woods Foraging on his "days off", for you to be served the freshest Ramps and Chanterelles. If you have been to Foraged. then you know, your meal is undeniably nourishing and fresh, but it also is offered to you with an unbelievable amount of care and heart poured into it.
I am Chris' sister; I can honestly say that he is the only person I have ever known who has known their entire life what they wanted to do and had a laser focus on making that one thing happen. Starting in his early teens at his first restaurant job, he has worked every position in the kitchen, worked at some of the top restaurants in the country, and NEVER given up hope that he would one day have his very own restaurant. Now he does and it's time we come together to help in this unexpected hard time!
