Help save Flopjack!

Seizure activity has started to increase for our epileptic bunny, Flopjack, in both frequency and severity. Sometimes they’re light, and others they’re horrible to the point of literally bouncing like a bouncy ball off of the walls with how hard he’s kicking uncontrollably. Breaking teeth and screaming and flailing.

If he has a small one, he runs to us and hides with us for comfort. The big ones he has no control and we just try to hold him tight and let him smell us for comfort and safety until he can come back to us. Sometimes the flailing stops, but he’s just not there behind his big beautiful blue eyes. Sometimes for hours. When he comes back to us, he just wants held. Scared and confused, but knows mom and dad and his human big brothers will make it better and keep him safe.

We know there are neurological tests that can be done at the bigger animal hospitals, but we just can’t afford the thousands of dollars that will cost.

so we are trying to raise the funds to hopefully help get him the tests and scans needed to hopefully help him, as well as help further the research on neurological disorders in rabbits as there is just really not a lot of available information. Especially compared to other animals such as cats or dogs.

Remember: there’s nothing like the feeling of a bunny who CHOOSES to love you. It’s an honor and a privilege to be chosen to be loved by a bunny. Just love them back. It’s all you can do.
