HELP save family puppy John Wayne's broken leg!!!

 

Hello! Our Tilley family puppy John Wayne ran to greet a car coming in our driveway and got run over. His femur is fractured and his hip is dislocated. This means he needs two surgeries ($4,500). We are devastated! We can't afford two surgeries. Our other options are amputation ($2000) or putting him down.

 

 

John Wayne is only 10 months old and came to us when he was 10 weeks old. Two girls that ride horses at our home were on a trail ride when they saw him being abused by a neighbor. They rescued him and carried him home on horseback. John Wayne seemed a fitting name since he rode in on a horse.

 

 

He instantly stole the hearts of our family, our friends, and all of my students. Two months later we got a lab puppy. River and John Wayne became best of friends. They are inseparable. If they're not sleeping together they're rough housing and running around. River is heartbroken that her buddy is injured.

 

John Wayne is the best of dogs. He's smart, protective, obedient, playful, sweet, friendly, great with kids, great with horses and cats.
