ሓግዝ ንተሪፋቶ ዘላ ሓንቲ ዓይኑ ንምድሓን ዝቃለስ ዘሎ ህጻን።

ወዲ 12 ዓመት ህጻን አሰይ ኣሸናፊ ወዲ ሽዱሽተ ዓመት ከሎ፡ ኣብ ኤርትራ ሕክምና እናተገብረሉ እንከሎ ሓንቲ ዓይኑ ስኢኑ። ኣብ 2015 ንተወሳኺ ሕክምናዊ ክንክን ናብ ሱዳን ተወሲዱ ናይ ተፈጥሮ ግላውኮማ ከምዘለዎ ድማ ተረጋጊጹ። ሓካይም ኣብ ነፍሲ ወከፍ ሰለስተ ወርሒ ቀጻሊ ምክትታል መርመራታት ክግበር እንተተነግሮ’ኳ ብሰንኪ ፋይናንሳዊ ጸገምን ናይ ጉዕዞ ጸገምን አሰይ በቲ ዝተመደቦ መርመራታት ክፍጽም ኣይከኣለን።

ኣብ ግንቦት 2018 ፡ አሰይ ኣብ ኣዲስ ኣበባ ኢትዮጵያ መጥባሕቲ ግላውኮማ ተገይሩሉ። ሕጂ'ውን ሓካይም ኣብ ነፍሲ ወከፍ ሽዱሽተ ወርሒ ስሩዕ ምክትታል ክግበር ይመኽሩ እኳ እንተነበሩ፡ ስድርኡ ግን ብሰንኪ ፋይናንሳውን ጸጥታውን ብድሆታት ክቕጽሉ ኣይከኣሉን።

ወለዱ ኣብ ኤርትራ፡ ሱዳን፡ ኢትዮጵያን ከሐክምዎ እንተፈተኑ’ኳ ኣብዚ እዋን እታ ዝተረፈት ዓይኒ አሰይ ብቕልጡፍ ትጠፍእ ኣላ። በዚ መሰረት ሬፈራል ሆስፒታል ብርሃን ዓይኒ አሰይ ናብ ወጻኢ ሃገር ኮይዱ ክሕከም መዲካል ቦርድ ክውሃብ ኣጽዲቁሉ ኣሎ። ስድራ ኣብ ጀርመን ናብ ዝርከብ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ሆስፒታል ኮሎን ወሲዶም ከሐክምዎ ተዳልዮም ኣለዉ። ነዚ ዝኸውን ወጻኢታት ልዕሊ ዓቕሚ ወለዲ ስለዝኾነ ሓገዝ ክትገብሩሎም ይሓቱ ኣለዉ። ትዕበ ትንኣስ ኩሉ ኣበርክቶ ንአሰይ ንዓለም ዳግማይ ንምርኣይ ሓደ ስጉምቲ ዘቕርቦ ስለዝኾነ ሓገዝኩም ይሓቱ ኣልዉ እሞ፡ ዘልዓልክሞ ይተከኣልኩም እናበልና ሓገዝኩም ንሓትት ኣለና። ንተወሳኺ ሓበሬታ ወይ ሕቶታት በዚ ዝስዕብ ተወከሱ

Help Save Esey’s Remaining Vision

Meet Esey, a close relative of mine, whose a 12-years-old boy from Dekemhare, Eritrea, who is courageously fighting to save the vision in his only remaining eye.

When Esey was just six years old, he lost one eye while receiving treatment in Eritrea. In 2015, his family took him to Sudan for further medical care, where he was diagnosed with bilateral advanced congenital glaucoma. Doctors recommended continuous follow-up examinations every three months. Unfortunately, due to financial hardship and travel restrictions, Esey and his family were unable to attend the recommended checkups.

In May 2018, following the peace agreement between Eritrea and Ethiopia, Esey underwent glaucoma surgery in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Once again, doctors advised regular follow-ups every six months, but his family could not continue due to financial, and broader closure and security challenges.

Now, in 2025, Esey’s remaining eye is rapidly deteriorating. His parents have exhausted all possible medical options in Eritrea, Sudan, and Ethiopia, but there has been no improvement. In July 2025, Birhane Eye Hospital referred Esey to a medical board after he began losing vision in both eyes. The board has since approved him for retinal treatment abroad.

Through the support of friends and relatives, the family contacted the University Hospital of Cologne in Germany, one of Europe’s leading eye clinics. The clinic reviewed Esey’s medical documents and responded as follows:

“Based on the submitted documents alone, the eye condition can only be assessed to a limited extent. It cannot be ruled out that the patient has an eye disease that is not amenable to effective treatment. However, if a clinical examination and detailed consultation in our outpatient clinic are desired, an appointment can gladly be arranged.”

The hospital has offered to conduct a full outpatient diagnostic examination and consultation for €2,500, which includes all administrative fees. After these examinations, the doctors will provide a treatment plan and the final cost estimate for the surgery and recovery which is estimated at about 35,000 euro.

Esey’s family cannot afford this expense. That is why we are reaching out to compassionate individuals like you. Your support can help Esey travel to Germany for this vital assessment and potentially save the sight in his only remaining eye.

All funds raised through this campaign will be exclusively managed by a committee representing Esey’s family, and 100% of donations will go directly toward his medical expenses and travel costs.
