Elsie, my 13 year old bull puggle and my best friend, is in the hospital with life threatening anemia. She needs immediate care, tests, and a blood transfusion to stabilize her and find out what is causing this. We are also looking for potential dog blood donors. I am urgently trying to raise 5 000 euros in the next few days to cover her treatment and give her a real chance at recovery. Any donation or share helps more than I can say.

Why I am fundraising

My name is Ilana Walker, and I am raising funds for my dog, Elsie. She is a 13 year old bull puggle, and she has been my closest companion for many years. Elsie is now in the hospital fighting a severe and dangerous form of anemia. Her condition became critical very suddenly, and she needs immediate medical care to survive.

Right now, the cause of her anemia is unknown. The veterinary team suspects an autoimmune disease, internal bleeding, or complications from a tick bite. They need to run more tests to identify the exact cause so they can treat her properly. She is waiting for a blood transfusion to bring her out of the critical danger zone and give her a chance to recover.

What has happened so far

Before her hospitalization, the veterinary costs were 1 000 euros to get urgent testing done. Now her hospital stay, advanced diagnostics, and the blood transfusion are estimated to cost more than 1 800 euros just to stabilize her and find out what is wrong. After that, she will need ongoing treatment once the cause becomes clear.

Elsie is gentle, loving, and deeply attached to me. Everyone she has ever met falls in love with her happy and loving personality. Anyone who knows her understands how important she is in my life. I want to do everything possible to help her, but the total expected costs are far beyond what I can manage on my own right now.

How the funds will be used

Every euro raised will go directly toward Elsie’s medical care. CAD can also be sent directly to my Canadian Bank account. I will place both my Canadian account and Euro account info at the bottom of this page.

1 800 euro for hospitalization, tests, and the blood transfusion she urgently needs now!

1 000 euro for the tests already completed before hospitalization.

The rest will cover treatment after diagnosis, medication, follow up care, and any additional procedures the vets advise.

If needed, I will share updates and proof of costs, so everyone can see exactly how the funds are used.

Why the timing is so urgent

Elsie is in a critical state. The veterinarians need the funds to continue the testing and lifesaving care. I am trying to raise 5 000 euros within 3 days because she cannot wait. The faster we can reach the goal, the sooner she can receive the full treatment she needs.
