On Friday, May 9th, the Kimsey family's world was turned upside down when their beloved black lab, Ellie, was viciously attacked by another dog on their own property. The attack left her with life-threatening wounds around her neck and back leg. Since then, Ellie has undergone three emergency surgeries, multiple nights of hospitalization, and is now facing ongoing wound care due to developing infections.

Despite the trauma, there is hope. The veterinary team is cautiously optimistic about Ellie's recovery—but her journey is far from over. Ellie will need continued care, more surgeries, and extended medical treatment in the weeks ahead.

So far, the Kimsey family has already spent $16,000 in just six days to keep Ellie alive and stable. We're launching this GoFundMe to help them cover these existing expenses and to ensure they can continue providing Ellie the care she urgently needs.
