A loving, nurturing and wonderful dance studio in Palos Verdes Peninsula needs your help. Elite Dance Studio , LLC, a home away from home for kids of all ages who follow their dreams in dancing ballet, jazz ballet, tap, hiphop, and ballroom dance to name a few, is currently struggling to keep its doors open, as many other small businesses are, due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
My name is Dian McManus and my littlest daughter has bloomed into an amazing little dancer at Elite Dance Studio as she has found her home away from home there. As a former dancer myself, who loved the dance school that helped me pursue my own dream of becoming a dancer when I was younger, I am being called. My dance school brought a lot of fond memories and played a big role in my childhood and beyond. I am broken-hearted for my daughter's dance studio from seeing the struggle that her dance school has been going through. Competitions and performances have been canceled, current new "Zoom" enrollment has not been sufficient, summer enrollment is part of its greater concern, and what fall season may bring is even uncertain. It's heart-wrenching to me to think that the studio is in danger of being out of business despite all of the efforts of the studio. I hope that it will never happen. I cannot imagine how incredibly sad that would be to the studio and its dancers and families.
I know my own limited contribution wouldn't be enough. I am calling on anyone whose heart is kindly touched and whose act of kindness can bring a huge leap of joy and hope to the studio.
Elite Dance Studio is not just a place to dance, it is a place that is filled with love, joy and rainbow, a place that welcomes every child to pursue their dream in becoming a dancer and to inspire children to be the best they can be, and to have a great attitude and mindset along with it. Elite Dance Studio doesn't only teach a child how to dance, move and stay healthy but how to stay positive and believe in yourself. Everyone is treated special and with love at Elite Dance Studio. Owner Dyan Lopez or "Miss Dyan" has the biggest heart for the children and families who know her and her studio. She is no stranger to the dance world or the Palos Verdes Peninsula. She has been working with three generations now and has been teaching for over 30 years.
If you are in the position to contribute and perhaps to show our children and the students at Elite Dance Studio that there is light and hope even in the darkest of time through coming together to help each other, it would absolutely be a glorious help to Elite Dance Studio at these very challenging times. Elite Dance Studio would be extremely grateful for your open heart.
Your contribution will help the studio stay afloat in the coming weeks and months, keeping the employees and teachers and lightening the economic pain they have been suffering since the lockdown started in mid March.
Elite Dance Studio, LLC was chosen as Best New Business of 2014.
