Hi everyone, I'm reaching out because I'm absolutely heartbroken and desperate to help my daughters 10-month-old British Bulldog, Dottie.
Dottie has been struggling with severe breathing issues and repeated choking episodes. After visiting the vet, we've been told she is suffering from Brachycephalic Airway Syndrome (BOAS), meaning her airways are too narrow and need surgery to be widened.
On top of this, she has now developed aspiration pneumonia, which means fluid or food has entered her lungs due to her breathing problems. This is making her very unwell, extremely tired, and at risk of serious complications.
The surgery she desperately needs will cost around £4,500 - £5000, and unfortunately our insurance does not cover this procedure.
Right now, Dottie is only a baby at 10 months old. She should have her whole life ahead of her, but without this surgery, her condition could continue to worsen and potentially cause permanent damage to her lungs.
We are doing everything we can to keep her stable at home while trying to find a way to afford this life-changing operation.
If anyone can help, even a small amount, or by sharing this, it would mean the world to us and could truly save Dottie's life.
Thank you so much for reading and supporting us
