My name is Dustin. My cat's name is Doogie. He is a very special guy. He is sweet, playful, caring, and a tad adventurous as of a month and a half ago.

Six weeks ago, he decided he wanted to try the outside cat life. He decided to take off. I was so worried about him. I looked for him day and night. I would spend hours of each day after work searching for my Doogie. I looked at dusk, dawn, and even in the middle of the night. I tried every trick in the book, you name it! No luck.

Until I was leaving for work one morning. On my way out of my neighborhood, I saw him! I lured him in with a can of his favorite tuna. And at last! I found my boy. Turns out he was not cut out for the outdoor life. He was looking very beat up and skinny. I noticed his nose was raw and his mouth was in pain. I took him to the vet immediately. Hopeful for a light prognosis, things had taken a turn for the worst after the lab results came back. He was diagnosed with acute kidney failure caused by either a toxin or potentially an illness. He is in a very severe stage of kidney failure. He is likely to not make it without immediate hospitalization. This could cost in the thousands. But it is not a shot in the dark! He has a high chance of surviving and living a good life.

However, times are hard and I am not financially able to provide the treatment necessary. I am asking out of the kindness of your heart that you donate to save my precious little boy. Time is of the essence. If you are willing and able to, any donation would be one step closer to Doogie getting the required medical attention. I was able to afford his visit along with a fluids bag and some antibiotics. But without the proper treatment at a hospital, his chances of making it are close to nothing.
